Mediation

At Devereux we recognise that the interests of our clients are often better served by pursuing alternatives to litigation and consider mediation to be an integral part of the dispute resolution landscape.   The key is to understand the dispute from the perspective of the other side and look for a client-centred solution.  Mediation can often provide a resolution to a dispute that appears to be intractable or where traditional financial solutions are not a complete answer.  It is particularly effective where the costs of litigating are disproportionate to either or both sides to a dispute.

Members of Chambers are active participants in the mediation process, whether as advisors, representatives or mediators. Members of Chambers have experience of all other types of ADR including binding and non-binding neutral evaluation.

We are also able to offer a suite of quality meeting rooms for arbitration, mediation, conferences and seminars. For further details please contact us.

Mediators

Our ADR panel can help parties to resolve disputes through a mediated agreement.  Our mediators do not decide or resolve the dispute themselves, but can assist the parties in resolving the issues in dispute by exploring the legal issues, the evidence and the merits with them.  Our mediators help both parties to air their concerns, hear from the other side and work through the issues that are in dispute.  Our mediators ensure that the parties are in control of the solution, but help them find common ground.

Our former judges may be of particular interest to parties with difficult employment or personal injury disputes which require a deep understanding of the underlying issues in order to reach a mutually beneficial resolution.

Our mediators group  includes former judicial members who are able to provide mediation expertise with the particular assurance and confidence that comes from having seen large numbers of disputes resolved.

In addition to conducting mediations in London, our mediators can work elsewhere in the UK and internationally, including Singapore, Malaysia DIFC and Hong Kong.

We are also able to offer a suite of quality meeting rooms for arbitration, mediation, conferences and seminars. For further details please contact us.
