High Court litigation ~ Costs and experts, a practical insight
This evening seminar addressed two issues that frequently arise in litigating employment matters in the High Court: cost budgeting and the admissibility of expert evidence.
The practical insights were provided by leading employment silk Andrew Burns QC who specialises in complex employment and industrial disputes; Peter Edwards, who possesses a wealth of experience of litigating employment and personal injury matters in the High Court and Alice Carse, who has acted in numerous industrial action and restrictive covenant disputes.
The discussion on each topic started with an introduction to the High Court rules and relevant authorities (including the recent Supreme Court case of Kennedy v Cordia (Services) LLP), before moving on to practical hints and tips from the perspective of both Claimants and Defendants.
The seminar took place on Tuesday 19th April 2016 at our offices.
