Versloot: The Future for Collateral Lies
Join us for a practical case study exploring the borderline between fraudulent claims and “collateral lies” set by the Supreme Court in Versloot Dredging v HDI Gerling [2016] UKSC 45.
Introduced by Colin Edelman QC, with contributions from Andrew Burns QC and Richard Harrison, this session will include consideration of the potential effect of policy wording, remedies available for situations involving “collateral lies” and the relationship with the new remedy for late payment of insurance claims.
This seminar will be suitable for Insurance Law and Professional Indemnity practitioners, is free of charge, and will take place at our offices on Wednesday 1st February 2017.
