What might the new non-dom rules look like?
In recent days, the Labour Party announced that it will include within its manifesto a promise to end the tax rules which allow some non-domiciled individuals who are UK resident for tax purposes to elect to limit the tax paid on foreign income and gains. The announcement has inevitably provoked much debate.
On the evening of 28th April, 2 silks and 3 juniors of Devereux's tax team invited senior tax practitioners who practise in the private client field to join them in an informal and neutral roundtable discussion to explore the form that such a change might take and what its likely impact might be.
The event took place at our offices on 28th April.
