Alice Mayhew represents Respondent in Court of Appeal case approving conventional test for remission to EAT
Alice Mayhew represented the Respondent in Burrell v Micheldever Tyre Services Ltd [2014] EWCA Civ 716 in the Court of Appeal. In Burrell, the Court of Appeal confirmed the approach to remission taken in Jafri v Lincoln College by a differently constituted Court of Appeal, despite expressing some reservations about approving the conventional test restated in Jafri. The Court of Appeal gave guidance on how the EAT can apply the conventional approach in the future to ensure that remissions are made in appropriate cases.
Alice Mayhew represented the Respondent and was instructed by Simon Fenton of Thomas Eggar LLP.
