Andrew Burns QC won as ‘Labour & Employment Barrister of the Year’ at the Lawyer Monthly Legal Awards
Lawyer Monthly announced that Andrew Burns QC is the winner in the category of “Labour & Employment Barrister of the Year” for the UK as part of their annual Lawyer Monthly Legal Awards 2015. The awards recognise the achievements of law firms, lawyers and barristers who have a proven track record in delivering results for their clients over the past twelve months.
In particular, they recognised Andrew for his involvement in some of the most influential employment law work of the year, particularly arising from national industrial action and including his appearance in the leading restrictive covenant injunction case Prophet v Huggett. He is the barrister in most of the recent CAC cases concerning European Works Councils which often are disputes of international significance for transnational businesses involving thousands of employees. His international practice in Dubai commercial and employment cases continued to flourish during 2015 with another appearance in the DIFC Court of Appeal.
