Dina Lander & Alexander Fernandes commence Pupillage at Devereux

Devereux is delighted to announce that Dina Lander and Alexander Fernandes have commenced their pupillage at Devereux.

Throughout the next 12 months, Dina and Alexander will gain experience across Chambers’ broad range of practice areas including tax, employment, personal injury, and commercial litigation.

Dina was called to the Bar in Sydney Australia in 2022. Prior to joining the Bar in Sydney Dina worked as a prosecutor at the Australian Taxation Office and an associate (judicial assistant) at the Federal Circuit Court of Australia. She is currently completing Masters in Taxation at the University of Oxford, and has over twenty years of experience in the financial services industry, as well as an MSc in Finance, having initially been trained on Wall Street as a mergers and acquisitions analyst. 

Alexander is a graduate of the University of Warwick, holding an undergraduate degree in Economics, Politics, and International Studies. He completed his Postgraduate Diploma in Law at the University of Law, attaining distinction level marks in every subject and earning a Dean's Award. Alexander also attained a distinction in his Bar Vocational Studies which he completed at City Law School. He began his career as a chartered accountant, qualifying within Deloitte's Banking & Capital Markets practice in London. He worked on the statutory audits of banking groups and within the risk, finance, and internal audit functions of various financial institutions as a secondee. Immediately prior to pupillage Alexander worked within the Bank of England's Prudential Policy Directorate.
