Marika Lemos and David Bedenham Recommended for Appointment as King’s Counsel

Devereux Chambers is proud to announce that Marika Lemos and David Bedenham will be appointed as King’s Counsel on 24 March 2025, following the recommendation of the Lord Chancellor and the King’s approval.

This achievement highlights Marika's and David's status as leading barristers across multiple practice areas and further strengthens Devereux’s reputation as a top-tier set.

Marika’s practice spans all aspects of revenue law. Her client base includes multinationals, Fortune 500 companies, trustees, charities, HNW individuals, trade unions and other public bodies. She is well-known for her technical excellence and her work on significant cases, both as a litigator and in an advisory capacity.

David’s practice focuses on tax and regulatory litigation including penalties and claims brought against company directors. He is especially well known for cases involving allegations of fraud, abuse and other wrongdoing. His expertise and dedication have earned him recognition as one of the leading advocates in his field.
