Robert Weir KC, Jonathan Butters and Tom Westwell feature in The Lawyer’s Top 10 Appeals of 2025
‘The Lawyer’ has named the motor finance appeal in the Supreme Court, in which Robert Weir KC, Jonathan Butters and Thomas Westwell represent the claimant consumers, as one of the “Top 10 Appeals of 2025”.
The Supreme Court hearing, scheduled for three days in April 2025, follows success for the claimants (represented by the Devereux team) in the Court of Appeal: see here. The defendant lenders were granted permission to appeal and the hearing has been expedited. The Lawyer describes the case as “potentially … the most significant in this year’s top 10 appeals”.
