Stephen Killalea QC and Bruce Silvester achieved an £8.2 million (capitalised net value) settlement in a tetraplegia case involving Clause 6 MIB arguments. The final settlement (on a provisional damages basis) was a lump sum of £2,462,500 and a PPO of £230,000 per annum. The settlement figures were net of an agreed reduction for contributory negligence in respect of a seatbelt issue.
