Stephen Killalea QC in £16m settlement of child brain damage case
Stephen Killalea QC represented the Claimant in a brain injury case (PPP v RRR) in which the 12 year old Claimant, who was injured when aged 3 months old in 2005, received a lump sum of £6.75 million and a PPO of £120,000 per annum (commencing at the age of 35 years). The care provided primarily by the family until the commencement of the PPO was included as part of the capital sum. The recent discount rate change was utilised in increasing the capital sum.
